John Robison and Harriet Deuel were cousins.  John's father, Ebenezer Robison was the brother of Harriet's mother, Lydia Robison Deuel.  There are no letters from John but his name is mentioned.

Died of consumption about a year after marriage.  No children.

Enlisted: Jan 5, 1864, Dryden, NY @ Age 44
Private, Co. I, 2nd Reg't, NY Cavalry
Discharged: Aug. 8, 1865, Louisville, KY
Pension Application:
Pension Certificate:
Military record indicate he was able to write his name.  Enlisted under name of
"Robinson", but signed papers as "Robison".  Probably lied about age when
enlisted.  Duties included sawing lumber for regiment.  Spent time in hospitals at
Romley, WVA; Cumberland and Frederick, MD; and Clarksville and
Winchester, VA.

Additional Information:
Lived on Thomas Road, Slaterville Springs, NY.  Transferred from town of
Dryden, NY circa 1886.  Occupation was that of lumberman and boat builder.
Sawmill was located on Thomas Road.  Probably worked there.  The only boat
works in Caroline was John Miller, brother-in-law to Delight Bishop.  Shop was
located at 58 Caroline Depot Road.  Living in Ithaca at the age of 69 when he
applied for Invalid Pension.  Lived in Tompkins and Tioga Counties after leaving
service.

Mariah Robison made her mark when applying for widow's pension.
Aug 1891, Maria Robison was living with son-in-law, Oscar Jordan and had
been living with him since early 1888.  (Caroline Center)

James Stevens, resident of Caroline County, born 1800, wife was cousin of
John or Mariah.
